Habits are hard to change- we default to familiar habits in a time of stress because it feels familiar and safe (and conserves cognitive resources in a flight or flight situation).

So many self help, self regulation and wellness programs focus on identifying bad habits (point A) and showing you habits to replace them with (point B) but they don’t teach you HOW to get from point A to point B.

The first step in that journey is identifying where you want to go- identifying a habit you want to build that will help you manage stress, connect with others, open your mind for problem solving, grow self regulation skills and model them for those around you.
