Personal Story Narrative Retell Visual

As humans we make sense of our lives by telling our stories. Kids who have been abused or maltreated must be able to tell their stories. Kids who struggle with behaviors due to factors we cannot see must be able to tell their stories. And yet both kids who have experienced maltreatment and incarcerated youth are both significantly more likely to have language impairments that impact their ability to tell their story. This visual was created by Nicole Sedan, a speech language pathologist, who has extensive experience in working with children who have experienced developmental trauma and who have behavior difficulties.
